"I have shot many of the Toelke Bows in the past 6 months. Their form and function go hand in hand. They are as beautiful as they are rugged. No bow I have ever held has the craftsmanship, style & performance that a Toelke Bow holds..."

"I have personally owned over fifty (50) custom bows.  I finally have a bow (3 Toelke Bows) that has the qualities a bow should have, attention to detail and performance plus..."

"I've know Dan for a number of years now.  He is one of those rare individuals that strive to do things as well as possible  I can honesty say Dan builds every bow as if he is going to own it himself.  I also know for a fact that Dan spent a lot of time experimenting with his bow design.  The purpose of this was to learn exactly what performed best and these efforts have produced a bow that can not be surpassed in performance.  Add to this a finish that can't be improved on and you truly have a superlative product.
I now own 7 Toelke bows which is probably 6 more than I really need but I would like to see Jared go to a good college.  If at all possible I recommend a trip to the shop to sample an assortment of bows because you also get a free shooting lesson and that's worth the trip all by itself."

"Though I haven't owned all that many custom recurves I have shot a lot of them over the years ( Black Widows, Palmers, Robertsons etc plus many factory bows) I do own a Chastain Wapiti TD in the same poundage as the bow that Dan built me. I had chosen the Wapiti for its smoothness, cast and quietness.

With that said I will sate that there is no comparison between any other bow I have shot and my Toelke TD recurve. The fit and finish is equaled by but a few and exceeded by none! It draws as smooth as the best I have ever shot and that includes those bows I have owned.

The biggest difference in this and all the other bows is the style and shape of the grip. It places the bow hand in the correct position and is almost impossible to hold it wrong. The grip just flat repeats itself from shot to shot. This makes it the most accurate bow I have ever shot from the moment you pick one up.

Dan's knowledge and dedication to building the finest crafted bow possible is one of the reasons to consider a Toelke bow. The other reason is Dan works with you to make it happy, confident and proud of your purchase. You just can not go wrong in the purchase of one of his bows."

" Three years ago I was a devout rifle shooter and Dan showed me a bow that was made by a custom bowyer. I scoffed at the idea of spending $500.00 on a custom bow. I did purchase a longbow for about $200.00. I was happy until one day I went to Dan's to shoot. He had just returned from bowmaking classes. He built a R/D longbow at school. I was amazed after shooting that bow at how much smoother and faster it was. I was bitten by the bug. When Dan started to make bows I bought his first production bow. Since that time I have shot other bows at conventions and looked at the finish work and can honestly say that Dan's bows are by far the best I have found so far. I now have 8 of his bows and can't find flaw with any of them, and they just keep getting better. Penrod Davis Montana."

"My name is Jeff Noble, and I currently live in eastern Montana, in Broadus. I grew up in western Montana, and Dan Toelke is one of my relatives (we're cousins).

I now have two of Dan's longbows, and simply can not say enough about them! My newest bow is a 58# Whip r/d longbow (62 inches), and I LOVE IT. Like many people that have shot a variety of traditional bows, I have tried some good ones and some great ones. Dan's bows definitely fall into the GREAT category. Best bows I have ever shot!!

Montana has a number of top-notch bowyers and bow companies, including Dick Robertson, Schafer Silvertip, Selway, and so on. Now we can add Dan's name to that list."

"I heard about Toelke bows, through word-of-mouth, about a year and a half ago. I drove up to visit with Dan and check out his bows. To be honest, I was not prepared for the unbelievable craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Like most folks, I have tried, and bought, a bunch of bows but nothing I have tried compares to the looks and performance of Dan's bows. From the moment I held his "Whip" longbow, I knew that I had to have one for my own.
Well, that was three Whips ago. I picked up my third one last week.

I had always believed that to get smoothness in the draw, you needed to go with a longer bow. I know now that is not the case. My 62" bows are as smooth to draw as any 66" bow at my 29.5" draw. The arrow cast is amazing even with a heavy tipped carbon arrow. As for quiet, nothing I have shot compares.

For those Traditional Archers who are looking for a fast, quiet, work-of-art bow that will stand up to extreme hunting conditions, I would suggest trying a Toelke bow. Be advised, they are addictive."

Dear Dan and Jared,

"I want to thank you both for the outstanding bow that you've built for me. You far exceeded my expectations on both beauty and perfomance that this bow delivers. Not only do you craft exceptional bows, but your advice has also helped cure years of bad habits by informing me about both muscle and mind to ensure consistant and accurate shots.

Basically Dan is a P.H.D. of bowyers and has in my opinion, revolutionized the modern longbow. I look forward to carrying a "whip" longbow in my hands for years to come."

Sincerely,
